PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Social Circle Planning and Corridor Commission will hold a Public Hearing on July 22, 2025, at 6:00pm at the Social Circle Community Room, 138 E Hightower Trail, for the following items: 1. Jeremy Crosby is requesting the annexation of Tax Parcel 0112 017, also known as 370 Highway 11, into the City of Social Circle as part of a proposal to develop a Commercial Travel Center, to include commercial vehicle parking, under Business (BUS) and Heavy Industrial (HI) zoning. Application is being made under the provisions of the Official Code of Georgia Section 36-36-20 ET SEQ, and is made, by Ordinance, to be included in the Corporate Limits of said municipality and made a part thereof. 2. Jeremy Crosby is requesting a future land use map amendment to designate Tax Parcel 0112 017, also known as 370 Highway 11, as a Gateway Interchange Character Area on the City of Social Circle's Future Land Use Map as part of the requested annexation of the aforementioned property. 3. Jeremy Crosby is requesting a rezone of +/- 26.02 acres of Tax Parcel 0112 017, also known as 370 Highway 11, from Agricultural (AG), as currently zoned by Newton County, to Business (BUS) for the purpose of developing a Commercial Travel Center, and a rezone of +/- 19.93 acres of the same Tax Parcel to Heavy Industrial (HI) for the purpose of developing a trucking and transportation terminal. 4. Jeremy Crosby is requesting a special use to allow a fueling station and automotive repair services, under Business (BUS) zoning, as part of a proposed Commercial Travel Center at 370 Hwy 11, also known as Tax Parcel 0112 017. 5. Jeremy Crosby is requesting a variance from Section 3.3.13.A.1 of the City of Social Circle's Unified Development Code (UDC) to allow a fueling station to be developed within 2,500 feet of another fueling station at 370 Highway 11, also known as Tax Parcel 0112 017. The City of Social Circle Mayor & Council will hold a Public Hearing on August 19, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Social Circle Community Room, 138 E Hightower Trail.
