PIPER ROAD REGULATOR STATION REPLACEMENT - NATURAL GAS PIPELINE SYSTEM
City of Covington Bid Post Sealed proposals will be received by the CITY OF COVINGTON, at CITY HALL, 2194 Emory Street NW, Covington, GA, 30014 until: May 13th, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., Local Time for the construction of: CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA PIPER ROAD REGULATOR STATION REPLACEMENT - NATURAL GAS PIPELINE SYSTEM at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The work consists of providing all labor, tools, skills, equipment, and all incidental materials not supplied by the city for the installation of one prefabricated regulator station per design drawing, approximately 300 feet of 4-inch steel gas main, and three tie-ins to existing 4" steel gas main within the City owned parcel at 25 Piper Road near Covington Georgia. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are open to public inspection at the Covington City Hall complex located at 2194 Emory Street NW, Covington, GA, 30014 or may be obtained from the City of Covington by contacting Rob Leigh at RLeigh@cityofcovington.org. One contract shall be awarded covering all the work, and the maximum time for completion shall not exceed the time frame outlined by the City of Covington and as established by the primary customer receiving gas service from this project. Each proposal or bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check on a duly organized bank made payable to the City of Covington or a bidding bond executed by the bidder, and surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia, in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Said check or bond will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder as soon as the contract or contracts have been awarded and to the successful bidder as soon as he has executed the contract or contracts and furnished the necessary bonds, same having been approved by the City's attorney. All bids must be made out on the proposal form furnished in the contract documents, in accordance with the instructions in the Information for Bidders. No interlineations, additions or deletions shall be made in the proposal form by the bidder. The successful bidder will be furnished, free of charge, three (3) sets of plans and contract documents. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Bidders are required to have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License to submit a bid in excess of $100,000.00.
